Roof leakage is the number one water problem reported across all DHA phases in Lahore and Islamabad. The scenario is almost always the same: rain starts, within an hour water appears on the drawing room ceiling or the ceiling of a bedroom on the top floor. The homeowner calls a contractor, who applies a cement or chemical patch. It holds for a season — sometimes not even that — and the next year the leak returns, often in a different spot.

DHA Phase 4 and Phase 5 Lahore have a particularly high incidence of this problem because the housing stock in these phases is now 15-25 years old.
